The Aether biome can provide a good alternate source of money for the player if found. These are the only two mobs exclusive to the Aether and its contents. The only naturally spawning mob is the Faeling, but the Shimmer Slime can also be created when a Slime interacts with Shimmer. It's most commonly found a little bit above the layer where lava begins to appear.Īn artificial/player-made Aether biome can be created when 300 blocks of Shimmer are 10 blocks away from the player. Vertically, it can be found in the Underground/ Cavern layer anywhere from 100 to 2200 blocks down depending on the world size. The Aether is located underground on the Jungle side's outer fifth of the world it is most commonly found in the general area under the beach at the shoreline of the Ocean, but can be found far enough inland to be within the Jungle.
